Boys & Girls Clubs Pennsylvania Alliance
The overall mission of Boys & Girls Clubs is to enable young people, especially those who need us the most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The Pennsylvania Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs annually serves more than 33,000 youth.
The Pennsylvania Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs is comprised of 17 Clubs that annually serve more than 33,437 children ages 5 to 18 through programs and community outreach. The Alliance serves Pennsylvania’s most vulnerable youth: 72 percent of Boys & Girls Club members qualify for free or reduced lunch; 41 percent are Black, 22 percent are Hispanic, 23 percent are Caucasian, and 7 percent are multi-racial; 67 percent are age 12 or under; 91 percent of Clubs are in urban communities.
Participating Clubs in the Substance Abuse Education and Demand Reduction (SAEDR) program include: Boys & Girls Club of Allentown, Boys & Girls Club of Bethlehem, Boys & Girls Club of Chambersburg and Shippensburg, Boys & Girls Club of Chester, Boys & Girls Club of Easton, Boys & Girls Club of Harrisburg, Boys & Girls Club of Lancaster, Boys & Girls Club of Somerset County, Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeastern Pennsylvania, Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania, Boys & Girls Club/Caring People Alliance, Olivet Boys & Girls Club of Reading and Berks County, and Sarah Heinz House.
